Ivory Lodge

Ivory Lodge, Hwange National Park

Located in the forestry area on the outskirts of Hwange National Park, Ivory is one of the easiest of lodges to access by road. It stands next to a large waterhole which, in dry season, attracts elephants in their hundreds. The lodge itself is relatively small with rooms built on wooden platforms offering elevated views of the waterhole. Being fenced, it makes a great stop for families with younger kids.

A Hwange Original

Ivory Lodge sits in one of Hwange's most rewarding corners — sikumi concession — where the wildlife moves to the rhythm of the pans rather than the clock. Days here are shaped by water: where it is, who is drinking, and how the light falls on it.

The Camp

The camp offers 8 suites, hosting a maximum of 16 guests. Accommodation is treehouse suites, set overlooking waterhole, with a relaxed main area, shaded decks and hearty bush dining. It is a 2.5 hrs from victoria falls drive, or 30 mins from victoria falls by air.

What's Hot

A private photographic hide at eye level with the waterhole, a pool that elephants regularly walk past, and guiding good enough to change how you look at the bush. Ask us about exclusive-use and specials.
