Situated just outside the Park and tucked in a towering camelthorn forest, this lodge is unique in its style and design. With more of a fixed structure than a bush camp, its main feature is its unique underground hide, where elephants can be photographed from ground level at a really close distance.

Camelthorn Lodge sits in one of Hwange's most rewarding corners — ngamo forest — where the wildlife moves to the rhythm of the pans rather than the clock. Days here are shaped by water: where it is, who is drinking, and how the light falls on it.

The Camp

The camp offers 8 villas, hosting a maximum of 16 guests. Accommodation is brick & glass villas, set teak forest, with a relaxed main area, shaded decks and hearty bush dining. It is a 2.5 hrs from victoria falls drive, or 30 mins from victoria falls by air.

What's Hot
